I had set the birdhouse on the garden of second house, Akazawa, Ito. It is not for birds. It is specially for Japanese dormouse. The entrance is not front of this. It is located on back side of this. The entrance is among the tree and birdhouse, it is so narrow. So if birds come there, they can't come into that like among movie. About 10 years ago, I had seen one Japanese Dormouse in the blanket in the closet. He/she had been in hibernation. But I don't know if they are still live there. 別荘の敷地内（実際は隣の敷地のある木）に巣箱をかけた。この巣箱は鳥用ではなく、ヤマネ用。鳥用巣箱とは違い入り口である穴は正面ではなく裏側にある。木にかけた時、木の幹との間となるので、鳥が入るには難しい。そういう作りとなっている。 およそ10年前だが、押入れの毛布の中で冬眠していたことがあった。なのであのあたりにまだ生息しているだろうかと思い、今回設置してみた。伊東市内には生息している事が、今年のある新聞記事で見かけた。 https://digital.izu-np.co.jp/news/society/16204 Especially in winter season, I see wood chips falling on the tatami mats.
